Lean On Me - African Painted Dogs Artwork £300

I absolutely adore African Painted Dogs also known as African wild dogs. They are not only beautifully patterned and distinctive but they are incredibly social and family oriented animals and are very protective of their pack. Older pack members will even forgo food to ensure that the babies get enough to eat to thrive and continue on the pack line.

These two brothers happily leaning on each other were captured in colour pencil and show off just a little bit of that playful and familial behaviour that makes them so fascinating. They are unfortunately an endangered species and are on the ICUNs red list.

This piece was created as part of my ‘Wild Babies’ series which was intended to warm the heart and bring a smile to the viewers face.

This piece is mounted to 16 by 20 inches and comes unframed so you can find the perfect frame to match your decor

One Small Step - Tiger Pastel Artwork £500

I have always felt a great connection to tigers, they are such graceful and majestic looking creatures with every move seemingly purposeful and sure. I created this piece when I was experiencing a shift in my life and my art practice and she will forever be representative to me of growth and moving forward - one step at a time.

I used soft pastels to create the background and some of the base layers of the tiger and pastel pencils to add all the lovely details and really bring her to life. Special focus was given to her face and particularly her eyes as I feel they always draw you into the piece and offer a special connection.

This is one of my largest ever pieces and is an impressive statement to display in your home to celebrate not just the magnificent tiger but that sense of hopeful growth and steady progress.

This piece was created with pastels on pastelmat and has been mounted to 61 by 72 cm and placed in a custom made black frame with UV reflective clear art glass which has minimal reflective qualities to perfectly display the artwork. This piece is for collection only due to the delicate glass and large size.

Sitting Pretty - Giraffe Colour Pencil Artwork £300

This adorable baby giraffe sat in a warm shaft of sunlight was created using colour pencils to capture the detail and softness of this gentle giant. Created as part of my ‘Wild Babies’ series these pieces are intended to warm the heart and put a smile on the viewers face.

Colour pencils allow great attention to detail and depth of colour as you layer them over one another, they are a wonderful medium to create with. This piece was created on dark grey pastelmat board which is an archival art surface and the background has been left as this warm grey so that all of the focus is on the magnificent animal.

This piece comes mounted and unframed.

Can You See Me - African Painted Dog Artwork £200

I discovered the African Painted dog a few years ago and have loved them ever since! Also known as African wild dogs, they are currently on the ICUNs red list as a highly endangered species as they face problems of a diminishing habitat, threat from larger predators and accidental or purposeful killing by humans protecting their livestock.

Wild dogs have distinctive large ears, bushy tails with white tips and a splotchy patterned coat which is different for every dog. They are fiercely protective of their families and are increibly social animals often living in relatively large packs.

This piece was created with colour pencil on pastelmat board and is cropped close to create a sense of intense connection.

Mounted to 12 by 16 inches, frame not supplied

Caught in the Crowd - Penguin Pastel Artwork £200

A waddle (or a rookery, a colony, a raft, a tuxedo or a huddle!) of penguins! This piece was created using a base layer of panpastels to get the initial shapes and tones and then pastel pencils were used to add the details and create the shine that penguins sleek feathers display.

My husband captured this photograph on a trip to the zoo and I have always loved how that one penguin was going against the grain to look the other way. It took several years for me to finally capture the scene on paper and the result is a wonderfully monochromatic piece of these fascinating little waddlers!

Mounted to 11 by 14 inches, frame not supplied

Waddle Waddle - Duckling Pastel Artwork £200

This adorable baby duckling has been captured with pastel pencils to create those soft fluffy textures and feathery details.

Drawn on dark grey pastelmat there is limited background detail so that the focus is entirely on the cuteness of the duckling so it looks like you could almost reach out and touch the fluff

Mounted to A3 (16.5 by 11.7 inches), frame not supplied
